Healthcare and social care

Mentis provides a wide range of advice and support to health and social care organisations to help them:

  • Deliver services more efficiently
  • Improve patients’ and clients’ experiences
  • Improve capacity
  • Eliminate unnecessary costs
  • Professionalise their ICT functions
  • Make sensible investment choices to improve infrastructures.

We have worked with primary and community care, ambulance services, mental health trusts, acute trusts, the DoH, local Social Services, and independent sector healthcare providers.

Much of our work involves helping organisations decide how they can use the power of IT systems to deliver improved services.

We have used our innovative process mapping methodology to help analyse patients’ journeys critically to identify where improvements can be achieved, whether by redesign of processes or by introducing smarter ways of working enabled by use of technology.

Our structured analytic processes identify the cost effective ways to overcome the complexities of major technology change. We have redefined the way healthcare benefits realisation is approached as a result of ground breaking work with Foundation Trusts, creating a process more relevant to both Board members and front line clinicians.

We have the technical expertise to advise on how to contain technology costs, improve systems reliability/availability and meet the demands of a paperless care environment. We are proud that system strategies we developed enabled one Trust to eliminate the majority of its paper notes.
