Information security (Mentis Infosec)
These services are provided through our Mentis Infosec division.
Dependence on communications and IT continues to grow, along with a focus by public and private businesses on their vulnerabilities, within the wider view of Critical National Infrastructure.
Information sharing and online transactional services add to the risks to be understood and countered in establishing trust and confidence by staff, service delivery partners and customers.
Mentis offer skilled and experienced CLAS
consultants and BCS-approved security practitioners. We have extensive experience of HMG Infosec compliance and various connection/ accreditation standards - such as GSi, CJX and NHSnet Code of Connection. Our people are security cleared to the necessary level (SC/DV).
Where necessary we can source and integrate specialist penetration testers with our work, ensuring that there is a clear separation of responsibility between assessors and testers.
We have assisted central government organisations, police forces, CJOs and others with risk assessments, accreditations, vulnerability testing and security architecture reviews.
Several of our consultants with IT backgrounds are experienced in implementing the IT Infrastructure Library (ITIL) including the IT security aspects and business continuity.
Our association with BAPCO keeps us current with the requirements of Civil Contingencies Act responders. We can assist with business continuity plans and disaster recovery, highlighting critical dependencies and risks across the complex of national, regional and local radio, telephony and data communications infrastructures.
